Oregon Creek BridgeWhen it rains it  pours gained new meaning when Boxster and I visited the Oregon Creek Bridge just outside of North San Juan in the Sierra Foothills.

Boxster Visits Oregon Creek
During a high-water season, the bridge floated downstream, was wedged parallel to the Middle Fork of the Yuba River, and only later was lifted and reset where it is today. Built in 1860, it still provides good shelter for a cup of coffee from a thermos in a storm.
